Instrumentation Engineer

Instrumentation is the science of measurement and control. So what an instrumentation engineer does is the measurement of industrial parameters, which essentially includes pressure and temperature as the main parameters. Then you will talk about the chemical variables,pH and the other things and that is the measurement part of it.

Then comes the control part of it. The different control strategies, control loops, setting of the strategies of control are expected from an instrumentation engineer.

So essentially, it talks about measurement, control and analysis, display and telemetry. Apart from the industrial sector, Instrumentation plays a key role in biomedical applications and atomic power generations. Many things done mechanically in early 60's and 70's are now done by electronics. This signifies the new role of instrumentation.....

When you can measure what you are speaking about and express it in numbers, you know something about it,and When you cannot measure it and cannot express it in numbers, your knowledge is of meagre and unsatisfactory kind.........
